Features of the Husqvarna saws

Features vary from model to model.

Air Injection on a Husqvarna chainsaw explained

Air Injection® Centrifugal air cleaning system for reduced wear and longer operating time between filter cleanings. Get the most out of your saw with the highest performance and less wear on the engine.
“Every function and design feature on a Husqvarna chainsaw is there to help you work efficiently and safely. The petrol engine needs a steady flow of clean air and fuel mix to perform at full power. In most chainsaw work environments, the air contains saw dust and other small particles that must be filtered away before the air enters the carburetor. Husqvarna chainsaws are equipped with a patented centrifugal pre-filtering stage called Air Injection®, which separates most particles before they reach the air filter. Air Injection® reduces the need for frequent air filter cleaning, so you can work longer and more efficiently before you need to stop and clean the chainsaw’s air filter.”

Snap lock cylinder cover on a Husqvarna chainsaw explained

Snap-lock cylinder cover Snap-lock cylinder cover saves time when changing spark plugs and cleaning.

“Every function and design feature on a Husqvarna chainsaw is there to help you work efficiently and safely. During a workday you may want to remove the cover on the engine for cleaning the air filter or checking for damages. With the Husqvarna-designed snap-lock cylinder cover this is very easy, fast and reliable. Just use the combi tool or any other suitable tool to snap open the locking mechanism. The three locking hooks are attached to the saw body so there’s no risk of losing any of them. This means easy access, time saved and peace of mind.”

Easier cold starting on a Husqvarna chainsaw explained

Fuel pump Fuel pump designed for easy starting. Starting a cold engine requires less effort thanks to the air purge.
“Every function and design feature on a Husqvarna chainsaw is there to help you work efficiently and safely. To make cold starting easier, the carburetor has a manual fuel pump, also called air purge. Before starting, press the transparent rubber bulb a few times until you can see that it’s filled with fuel. Now the carburetor is ready to run. This means fewer pulls to start, less wear on the starter cord, and less strain on you.”

Retained bar nuts inboard clutch on a Husqvarna chainsaw explained

Retained bar nuts. The retaining function prevents losing the bar nuts.

“Every function and design feature on a Husqvarna chainsaw is there to help you work efficiently and safely. In situations when you need to remove the clutch cover – in the forest or in the workshop, to release the guide bar and chain, or access the clutch or drive sprocket – you can rest assured that the guide bar nuts will be easy to find. Because the retained bar nuts are attached to the clutch cover, preventing them from coming loose and getting lost. You will never again have to spend valuable time looking for your bar nuts in the moss or on the floor, meaning more work done in a day and more peace of mind.”

Adjustable oil pump on a Husqvarna chainsaw explained

Adjustable oil pump Adjustable oil pump makes it easy to set the chain lubrication according to your needs.
“Every function and design feature on a Husqvarna chainsaw is there to help you work efficiently and safely. Our 500-series professional chainsaws are easy to adapt to each unique work situation you might come across. The guide bar and chain can easily be exchanged from a shorter one to a longer one depending on the size of the tree. Then, the chain oil pump is easy to adjust to give exactly the right amount of oil for any length of bar and chain. A longer guide bar and chain will require more chain oil to ensure proper lubrication and increase the service life. When using a shorter guide bar and chain, you can reduce the oil flow to avoid waste of excess oil and minimize the oil consumption.”

Inertia chain brake on a Husqvarna chainsaw explained

Inertia chain brake Effective inertia-activated chain brake.

“Every function and design feature on a Husqvarna chainsaw is there to help you work efficiently and safely. Your knowledge about the safety risks are also crucial. You need to know why the upper half of the guide bar’s tip is called the kickback zone. If you accidently push the kickback zone into the wood while the chain is running you will probably get a kickback, which is potentially dangerous. To reduce the risk of serious injury, Husqvarna chainsaws are equipped with a chain brake that stops the chain instantly. The chain brake is activated by pushing the front hand guard forward – either manually, or by the inertia force from the kickback’s acceleration.”

Slimmed down design on a Husqvarna chainsaw explained

Slimmed-down design Low, narrow saw body makes the chainsaw easy and convenient to handle in any situation.

“Every function and design feature on a Husqvarna chainsaw is there to help you work efficiently and safely. The functional and user-friendly design makes the chainsaw easy to use with less effort, so you can work longer and get more done before you need to take a break. The narrow, slim saw body reduces the gyro forces because the engine’s rotating mass is close to the saw’s centre of gravity. This means that you can move the saw from one position to the next with less force, which allows for a safer and more agile user experience.”

Low vibrations on a Husqvarna chainsaw explained

LowVib®. Effective anti-vibration dampeners absorb vibration, reducing stress on the user's arms and hands.
“Every function and design feature on a Husqvarna chainsaw is there to help you work efficiently and safely. The engine has the power to get the job done quickly and effortlessly. To protect your hands from the engine’s vibrations, the handles are isolated with vibrations dampers mounted at critical points. This effective anti-vibration system is called LowVib® and available on all petrol-powered Husqvarna chainsaws. LowVib® allows you to operate the chainsaw with less effort in any condition for long working hours, safe from damaging vibrations.”
